HRT and Help for Transgender People from Planned Parenthood in Oklahoma, Oregon, Philadelphia & Philly Area and Pennsylvania

Hi Everyone,

Did you know that 18+ patients can receive Hormone Replacement Therapy at many Planned Parenthood Health Centers around the country? Check this list for the Planned Parenthood Health Centers around the country that offer Trans Health Care.  Planned Parenthood also has some great educational programs related to gender identities, check the previous link or your local Planned Parenthood Health Center.

Even more importantly, did you know that Planned Parenthood offers many services, even HRT via telehealth?  This means that if you are not physically close to a Planned Parenthood Health Center that offers Hormone Replacement Therapy in your state that has a Telehealth program, you don’t have to travel to a physical site to get HRT.  If the center provides HRT via telehealth, typically a presciption for your hormones can be sent to you and fullfilled at a nearby pharmacy.

Planned Parenthood Health Centers are also great places to get to know because they provide many other important services.  These services include sexual and reproductive health, screenings and treatments for HIV and STD’s, men’s and women’s health care, primary and preventative health care and often also many routine medical screenings for a variety of conditions.  Planned Parenthood Health Centers accept many insurance programs as well as medicare, medicaid, and some can also help you identify an affordable insurance program or help you understand if you qualify for programs to help pay for medical care.

Oklahoma

Planned Parenthood Health Centers in Oklahoma are part of the Planned Parenthood Great Plains organization – PPGG.  PPGG has (3) clinics in Oklahoma, a Gender Identity program.  Hormone Therapy is availalbe at all three PPGG health centers.  PPGG also offers hormone replacement therapy by Telehealth so if you are in Oklahoma, but not close to these sites you can still use Telehealth.  The PPGG clincs are located in Edmund , Oklahoma City and Tulsa and don’t forget about Telehealth.

Oregon, Portland and Portland Area

Oregon planned parenthood health centers in Portland and the Portland area are part of Planned Parenthood Columbia-Wilmette – PPCW has (3) health centers in Portland and the Portland Area, which are covered below.  The PPCW has (3) more health centers in Oregon outside the Portland are which are covered in the next section.  PPCW offers has Gender Affirming Hormone Services at all (6) of their health centers and also through Telehealth.  The Portland and Portland Area health centers are located in Beaverton, Hillman East, Portland, NE Portland, Portland.  If you live in Oregon and you are not near any of these sites remember you can also use Telehealth for HRT and other care.  Please note that SE Portland Health Center, Portland is permanently closed and use the new Hillman East Health Center.

Oregon, Outside the Portland Area

Oregon Planned Parenthood Health Centers outside the Portland Areas are part of two organizations, Planned Parenthood Columbia-Wilmette – PPCW and Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon –  PPSO.

Planned Parenthood Columbia-Wilmette – PPCW has (3) health centers in Oregon outside the Portland Area.  PPCW has (3) more health centers in Oregon in Portland and the Portland area w

hich are which are covered in the above section.  PPCW offers has Gender Affirming Hormone Services at all (6) of their health centersand also through Telehealth.  The health centers outside the Portland area are located in Bend, Milwaukee, and Salem.  If you live in Oregon and you are not near any of these sites remember you can also use Telehealth for HRT and other care.

Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon – PPSO has (5) Health Centers and Teleheath.  PPSO offers many Health Services for Adults and Teens including sexual/ reproductive health, women’s and men’s health, annual well exams and many routine medical screenings.  PPSO doesn’t currently list gender affirming hormone replacement therapy as an option. The PPSO health centers are located in Ashland, Grant Pass, Medford and (2) in Eugene.  Since HRT is not list as offered at these sites please remember, if you live in Oregon, you may be able to use PPCW – Telehealth for HRT and other care.

Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Area

Planned Parenthood Health Centers in Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Area are part of the Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania organization – PPSP.  PPSP has (8) health centers.  There are (3) health centers that are listed as offering Gender Affirming Care, even though HRT does not show up on the websites of these health centers. PPSP offers Gender Affirming Care/ HRT by Teleheath

The (3) health centers identified as offering HRT are The Elizabeth Blackwell Center in Philadelphia (see these links Gender Affirming Care and Trans Health Care), Pottstown Health Center in Pottstown (see these links Gender Affirming Care and Trans Health Care) and West Chester Health Center inWest Chester (see the link Gender Affirming Care).  There are many more PPSP health centers in Philadelphia and the Philly area and all of the PPSP health centers offer sexual/ reproductive health care and some women’s and men’s health care at the following sites, Coatsville, Media, Norristown, Upper Darby, Castor Ave., Philadelphia and by Telehealth .  Also remember that PPSP offers HRT by Telehealth, so if you are in Pennsylvania and not near enough to a site that offers HRT you can still get HRT by Telehealth.

Pennsylvania, Outside the Philadephia Area

Pennsylvania Planned Parenthood Health Centers outside the Philadelphia Areas are part of two organizations, Planned Parenthood Keystone – PPK and Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania – PPWP.

Planned Parenthood Keystone – PPK has (9) Health Centers and Telehealth.  HRT is not listed as one of the services available from PPK Health Centers, but PPK offers many other Health Care Services including sexual/ reproductive health, wellness exams and women’s and men’s health.  Some services are available by Telehealth.  The PPK Health Centers are located in Allentown , Bensalem, Harrisburg, Quakertown, Reading, Warminster, Wilkes-Barre, York and Lancaster.  Also remember you if you are in Pennsylvania, you can get HRT by Telehealth.

Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania – PPWP has (6) family planning health care centers and Telehealth.  HRT is not listed as one of the services available from PPWP Health Centers, but PPWP has a strong focus on sexual/ reproductive health care women’s and men’s health care and some routine screening see the services at Health Care Services.  The PPWP sites are Bridgeville, Greensburg, Johnstown, Pittsburgh, Somerset and , Moon Township.  Also remember you if you are in Pennsylvania, you can get HRT by Telehealth.
